Quick Fix Guide 04 ยท TV no signal
The TV says no signal.
That message usually means the TV is looking in the wrong place. The TV may be fine.
What is probably happening
The TV input got changed, the cable box or streaming box is off, or one cable is loose.
What to try first.
- Turn on the cable box, streaming box, or game console you want to watch.
- Press Input or Source on the TV remote.
- Try HDMI 1, HDMI 2, and HDMI 3 slowly, waiting a few seconds on each one.
- If none work, check that the HDMI cable is pushed in firmly at both ends.
What Emily writes back
Hi Mary,
No Signal usually means the TV is turned on, but it is looking at the wrong box or cable. The TV itself may be perfectly fine.
Try this slowly:
- Make sure the cable box or streaming box is turned on.
- Press Input or Source on the TV remote.
- Try HDMI 1, HDMI 2, and HDMI 3, waiting a few seconds on each one.
If none of those work, send me a photo of the TV screen and the remote.
Emily
