Quick Fix Guide 05 ยท Phone storage
The phone says storage is almost full.
This does not mean you need a new phone today. Usually a few large items are taking up most of the space.
What is probably happening
Photos, videos, old text attachments, downloaded shows, or apps you barely use are filling the phone.
What to try first.
- Open Settings and search for Storage.
- Look for the largest category first, usually photos, videos, messages, or apps.
- Delete downloaded movies, podcasts, and shows you can download again later.
- Remove two or three large apps you do not use, then restart the phone.
What Emily writes back
Hi Mary,
A full storage warning usually means a few large categories are taking up most of the room. We want to find those before deleting anything important.
Start here:
- Open Settings and search for Storage.
- Look for the largest category, usually photos, videos, messages, or apps.
- Delete downloaded shows or unused apps before touching photos.
Do not delete photos until you know where they are backed up. Send me a screenshot of the Storage page if you want a second look.
